So why does the plunge feel… less? Less sharp, less clarifying, less like the jolt that hooked you in the first place back in week two.

Most reviews of these devices will walk you through pull-down speed, decibel ratings, and whether the Bluetooth app crashes on iOS updates. Almost none of them will tell you what’s actually happening inside your nervous system - and why the precision you paid a premium for might be quietly working against the exact adaptation you’re chasing.

Your Body Is a Prediction Machine, and That’s the Problem

Here’s the uncomfortable part nobody puts in the marketing copy: your body is constantly modeling what’s coming next, and it hates paying for surprises that turn out to be false alarms.
