Every cold plunge video on the internet follows the same script. The Afterdrop Problem

Who Should Actually Care About This
If cold plunging is mostly about the mental side for you-the stress inoculation, the “I did something hard before sunrise” feeling-none of this probably matters much. The evidence for cold exposure improving mood and building resilience holds up regardless of what you do five minutes later. Keep doing whatever keeps you consistent.

Track three things:
- Morning HRV the following day
- Subjective energy levels 2-3 hours post-exposure
- How you sleep that night
